Looking for a chic boutique hotel to hold a special celebration or party? Look no further: our Private Dining Room at Southernhay House seats 14 around the table in comfort and style.


And if your party is larger than 14, our Club Room seats up to 30. Either way, it’s fresh, local food made especially for your party and served with our usual personal style and care for your event.


Delicious 3 course menus start at £42 per head. We’re perfect also for drinks and canapés parties, from £19.50 per head.


Room hire charges apply for private dining and parties.


Please note that the House is not a suitable venue for small children nor do we have children’s menus. Children of 11 and over are, as always, most welcome on an adult basis.

Unless otherwise specified, steak will be served medium-rare.

Starters

Jerusalem artichoke soup, truffle oil

Charred carrots, white bean hummus and gremolata

Duck liver parfait, preserved figs and toasted brioche

Spiced haddock fishcake, Thai cucumber salad

Main Course

Smoked and roasted rump of lamb, potato gratin and buttered kale

Soft polenta, wild mushroom fricasse, Grana Padano and truffle oil

Pan-fried lemon sole, parsely butter, new potatoes, grren beans

8oz Devon raised sirloin steak, chips, charred cherry tomato, peppercorn sauce and dressed leaves (supplement £6)

Dessert

Chocolate fondant, cherry ice-cream

Apple and rhubarb crumble, clotted cream

Rum marinated pineapple, ginger ice cream and gingerbread

Selection of British cheeses, tomato chutney and crackers (supplement £5)
