Parking Advice
parking tips!
We have a convenient drop-off drive for orientation and pick-up. We’ll direct you to the near by car parks upon arrival. If you prefer to plan ahead, read on (note that Southernhay is one-way):
- Princesshay Car Park (EX1 1GA): Access recently changed - read on as signage is not yet in place! Turn left when leaving SH, then take a sharp right onto Southernhay West. Proceed past the turning for the hotel and take the next right, into Barnfield Road. At the traffic lights, turn left, into Western Way (ring-road). At the second traffic lights, at a large round-about, take the last (4th) exit into Paris Street. Proceed to the traffic lights and turn left here, then right into the entrance to the Car Park. Note: do not turn right immediately into a ‘dummy’ car park - this is for Service Vehicles only (we anticipate plenty of confusion here!). £15 for 24 hours. This multi-storey car park is locked from 11pm to 8am. 4 EV charging spaces located on Level 5.
- Magdalen Street Car Park (EX2 4HZ): Turn left from SH and continue to the end of the road. Drive across the one-way system into this car park. Flexible pricing with no charges between 10pm-8am. £18 for all day. This is an open car park and is unlocked. 2 EV charging spaces.
- On-Street Parking: Limited short-stay (1 hour, £2.80) parking is available in Southernhay East & West with no charges between 6pm-8am (11am on Sunday). This could be a better option if arriving later in the evening. Please note that parking wardens vigorously patrol Southernhay!
- Blue Badge Holders: you can park on the street just in front of the hotel - use the regular white lined parking bays (yellow lines only valid for 3 hours).
If you’re in an EV, you’ll be familiar with
this location finder. The nearest on street locations are Barnfield_01 and Leonard_01. Waitrose is also a handy hop away.
