Menus

We love our food…

We keep our menus short and sweet, because we change them every month and our food is bought locally and made especially for you from scratch.


With input from the whole team, and with feedback from our gorgeous guests, we enjoy creating a seasonally specific selection.


Choose to keep it simple with a generous sandwich at lunchtime, or take your time over a three-course lunch or dinner; it’s entirely up to you how you choose to schmooze your food at Southernhay House.

BREAKFAST MENU

A la carte breakfast from 7.30 to 10.30am

Residents £22.50 (included in some room rates)

Non residents £26 

If ordering two options, there is a £9 supplement

Menu

At your table

Croissants, fresh orange juice, Greek yoghurt, granola and fruit compote

Tea or coffee and fresh toast (gluten free bread available), butter, marmalade or jam

To order, your choice of:

The “Full English” (vegetarian option available)

Eggs your way, bacon, roast tomatoes, mushroom, black pudding,

baked beans, sausages and toast ,

Creamy porridge with fruit compote (gluten/dairy free available),**

Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon

Scrambled tofu, spinach, confit tomatoes on sourdough toast **

Buttermilk pancakes (gluten/dairy free available)

with either berries and pecan butter or smoked bacon and maple syrup

Seasonal fruit compote, honey, Chia pudding **

Grilled kippers, spinach and poached egg

Fried eggs, roasted field mushrooms, smoked bacon crumb

Soft boiled eggs and ‘soldiers’

We use all reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements. Our staff are fully trained in common allergens and their sources. Please notify our Duty Manager if you have a known allergy or are concerned about the ingredients in any dish.
